Trauma, The Body and Social Justice

This 2-day workshop will lay a foundational understanding of trauma informed embodiment practices as a gateway towards radical social healing. Day one lays a foundational understanding of how trauma effects the nervous system, and how to we can use embodiment practices to heal.
On day two we will explore how we can use these understandings to disrupt racism, dismantle white supremacy, empower community healing and catalyze true justice. The work will be presented through reading, movement, discussion and personal reflection.
This workshop is open to people of all genders, races, body sizes, abilities and religions. It is encouraged that participants have a foundational understanding of embodiment or contemplative practices, and a passion for social justice.
Registered yoga teachers can qualify for 14 hours of Yoga Alliance certified continuing education credits.
The value of this training is $400 and payment is offered in a self-determined scale to increase equity.
